CABAMA
Course Information

CABAMA offers students a variety of music courses with a curriculum created to increase and round out both your musical skills and knowledge. I teach and coach students in music theory (as applied to all instruments), rhythm, percussion studies, drum set (all styles), rhythm section, band, production, bass, keyboards, guitar (electric and acoustic), songwriting and vocals.

Class/Session Size: Minimum 5 students per session (rhythm and lead guitar, bass, drums, piano, percussion, vocals or other instruments). All ages and skill levels are welcome. Players must be skill-matched prior to each semester.

Semester Length: Each semester is 12 weeks long and runs continuously year-round. You may play in more than one band each week and continue to expand your repertoire and personal skills. Also, try playing other instruments for versatility.

Session Length: All bands meet weekly for 1 to 2 hours over each 12-week semester. There are four 12-week semesters throughout the year. However, with the exception of Sunday, semesters may start on any day of the week, usually after school hours, and can be created at any time whenever there are enough students who desire to play together.

Studio Locations: LA and Ventura counties including San Fernando Valley, Canejo Valley, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Beverly Hills and wherever there is a fully equipped professional space. You may also organize regular sessions in your own area at local schools given permission and only if there is a large and fully equipped private professional studio. I use several professional rehearsal studios which are conveniently located in each county.

Performances: There will be "live" band performances of all learned material after each 6 weeks at a club or concert hall to be named. These performances may include as many as 5 or more bands with 3 or more songs each and take the better part of an afternoon or evening to conclude. This will be an opportunity for friends and family to witness your progress and to hear other players play as well.
